The Microsoft Windows 7 Release Candidate becomes available tomorrow as the second major phase to allow the public phase to try it out. I have signed up to get the release candidate and plan to try it out on a netbook. That should be interesting.
The first phase was the beta testing period which ended April 30. Leaked copies of the release candidate are said the floating around the web and many are advising folks to steer clear of it until tomorrow. The release candidate, according to Microsoft, will be available at least until June. 30. It’s been available to MSDN subscribers and TechNet Plus subscribers since April 30.
The commercial version of Windows 7 is expected this Fall with a version known at Windows 7 Starter slated for netbooks.
