Avalanna is little girl afflicted with cancer. She is also why I am riding in the Pan Mass Challenge, which raises money for the The Dana Farber Cancer Institute’s search for cures to this horrible disease. The group I am riding with gets e-mail updates on Avalanna, who I have never met. But I feel like I know her through these e-mails. No child should have to endure such horrible ups and downs.
The latest e-mail is below. So please donate if you can….my donation code is JD0379.

Avalanna is doing very well. We have had a fabulous few weeks at the beach, and have seen lots of friends & family. Avalanna also started horse riding lessons & is loving it. Av really needs help with her gross motor delays so we are trying new things. Please God, Av will be heading to Kindergarten in Sept. so we have to get those little legs moving.
This week is chemo week;( uuuggghh, daily visits to Boston & a sick little lady. I keep telling myself that these tough weeks are what allows us have the fun weeks in the sun. 😉 It hurts to see Avalanna so well yesterday & then feeling so crummy today. We are hoping this week goes well & that Avalannas spinal fluid comes back clear of cancer cells. Please pray for this.
Avalanna will be a flower girl on Sat & is so excited about it. I am
just hoping she will feel well enough to do it. She tried on her sweet little dress & looks so cute. She even remembered to “break in” her new flowergirl shoes last week.., , I had forgotten but Avalanna reminded me.. She is such a little planner girl;)
We also have an MRI coming up – trying not to think about it.;(( This will let us know if the radiation was effective on the two fastest growing tumors. … Dreading it!! So please please continue to keep our girl in your prayers.
