Boeing just put out this video of the 787-9 flying like a fighter jet. The development of the 787 was one of the best stories I had the privilege to cover in my 40 years as a business and tech journalist. Big slick honkin’ machine!

Orders to date total 1,154 with 417 deliveries, according to Wikipedia with numbers presumably provided by Boeing. However, only 13 orders have been recorded to date in 2016 with some reports of a 787 sales slowdown after years of a torrid sales.

Nonetheless, it’s still a fabulous plane on which I have yet to fly.
